Since May 2015, Björn is Deputy Chief Delegate of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam. He is responsible for the service business and the Hanoi office of the Delegation (aka: AHK Vietnam). Before coming to Vietnam, Björn worked at the international department of the German Chamber Association in Berlin and as a market entry consultant at the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Japan. He holds a bachelor’s degree in international management with a focus on Japan and has completed a German-style vocational education as an industrial sales clerk.

Dr. Truong Gia Binh is the founder and Chairman of FPT Corporation, Vietnam’s largest IT services provider. He founded the Vietnam Software Association and IT Services Association (VINASA) in 2001 and has remained its Chairman since then. Dr. Binh also chairs the National Private Sector Development Committe, advising the Prime Minister on reforming policies to boost the growth of Vietnam’s private sector, particularly in agriculture, tourism, and information technology. He obtained a PhD in Mechanical Mathematics from Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1982.

Mr. Bode began his career as an application engineer at Schaeffler in Herzogenaurach in 1981. He was appointed head of the Strategic Business Unit Production Machinery in 2001. As part of this, he also assumed responsibility for development and sales for the first time. In 2013, Mr. Bode was appointed as President of Industrial for Greater China based in Shanghai. Three years later, he transferred to Singapore to become President Industrial Asia/Pacific and manage the industrial business, which was developed into a profitable business under his leadership. Mr. Bode became Regional CEO Asia/Pacific for Schaeffler Group in April 2018.

Till Gartner holds a Diploma in Mathematics at the Technical University Munich (TUM) but worked in IT throughout his entire professional career. He founded a CRM company during the 80s that was one of the first German Venture Capital Investments. After another startup he joined the executive board of MGM technology partners in 2001 and was key in growing the company from 40 to 700+ employees. He worked in all areas in many different roles: Sales, project management, recruiting. In 2015 he founded the MGM development office in Da Nang/Vietnam and grew it to 100+ engineers until 2019.

Min Ling Chan is currently the Head of Industry 4.0, Industrial Asia Pacific, Schaeffler Singapore. She is responsible for the Industry 4.0 product portfolio working closely with customers to bring the value of Schaeffler’s domain expertise enabling digitalization to drive Industry 4.0.

 

She holds a double degree in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science from RMIT University, Australia. She has worked in various manufacturing industries in Asia Pacific, Germany, Belgium, and Australia, ranging from air compressors to automotive with Ford Australia. Prior to this role, she is a co-founder of the ROS-Industrial Consortium Asia-Pacific with A*STAR in Singapore. There she was instrumental in growing robotic application development in the industry through ROS development and adoption in the Asia Pacific.
